haha, i'm just kidding. but only a little bit. this page is made up of links out of my site, though i hope you'll come again.
they're categorised by headi- you know what? you're smart, figure it out. have fun out there, i'll see you when i see you ( ・ω・)ノ
here are my favourite sites on neocities, i really reccommend checking them out.
sadgrl - an absolute classic among neocitizens, the first site here i ever saw, has great coding intros and beginner layouts which i used at the start, even if none of them are on my site anymore.
w3 - this is the fucking bible for people learning to code. everything i know, i learnt here. has all the information you need to build a functional website. i've only used their html and css guides because javascript is scary, but i think i've managed pretty well with it so far!
codepen - a must have really. when i first started this site i was coding directly in the neocities editor which is why i have a million updates. codepen is free to use (like every resource here) and is a real time code editor so you don't need to constantly save and view your site. makes my life sooo much easier.
project gutenberg - a database of thousands of ebooks and classic texts. fiction, nonfiction, memoir, poetry, the sheer volume of books on here is astounding. indulge your curiosity! everything here is in the public domain and can be downloaded as an epub.
perseus - an online library of primary soucres from the ancient world, mostly greece and rome. i took a fair amount of classics units in undergrad and this website was drilled into us by every single professor and the holy grail.
internet archive - the love of my life my sweet time lady my fine cheese my honey wine my love my light my wife. probably best known as home of the wayback machine, this is all that and more. saved me literally hundred of pounds on books for my english degree.
not just books, has a staggering wealth of knowledge across multiple disciplines. you could spend days on end just playing around with things they have on here. you will need to create an account to borrow some items, but it's completely free.
backmarket - a site for buying refurbished tech. i got my ipad here and i love it because i hate apple. got a really good range of devices and accessories.
vinted - a secondhand buying site, kinda like depop but less annoying. i don't really use this, but a lot of my friends do.
world of books - a second-hand book website that's pretty cheap and much better than buying from amazon. truthfully i get most of my books in person in charity shops like oxfam, but this is a good alternative if you're looking for something specific.
